Erin & Mark met at a New Year's party at Doug Beasley’s cabin in Wisconsin. They were the only two guests who showed up and they banged pots and pans on the frozen river to ring in 2018. When they first met eyes, Erin thought “that’s a man I could marry,” but she was living in California, and though they exchanged some cryptic poetic emails, they didn’t start dating until a year and a half later. Mark knew it was serious when he stayed up past his bedtime to bike to the Northern Spark festival to see Erin perform in Rosy Simas’ WEave:HERE. Though the performers were shrouded in large swaths of paper and light projections, Mark claims he could pick Erin out right away. Erin knew it was serious when Mark came to visit her and brought only a typewriter as a carry on. It's a baby blue Facit and it will be at the wedding. Their relationship deepened through many adventures, nourished by Pema Chödrön, Rumi, arthouse films, and a mutual love of the desert. They've shared some wild times in wild places, but they can't wait to celebrate with you in sweet old Minneapolis.
