A great place to start. Provides information and coupons. Help you get acquainted with the town's history.
Sarah and I went here on a date. It was great. Admission for three of the Telfair locations can be included in one ticket.
This is the Museum of Art that is owned and operated by the school I just graduated from. The exhibits are always changing. I believe tickets are about $10 a person.
This is a place where SCAD graduates and students can sell their art. It is a little pricey but its always free to look around.
The first Friday of every month is the First Friday Art March in the Starland District. Sulfer Studios is just one of the locations along the way. Stop in and see what exhibits they have there on Friday and what other locations are offering as well.
This is a great part of the city. It is pedestrian only so you will have to park and walk a couple blocks. At night there is usually live music. The streets are lined with restaurants, Savannah Candy Kitchen, Art Studios, and all types of hidden treasures.
The ferry is FREE and leaves from two seperate locations on River Street. It makes a quick loop stopping once across the River and twice on River Street. It offers a great view of the historic district, Hutchinson Island, and the Talmadge Bridge. The trip is only two minutes long each way but worth it for the view back at the city,
Normally free and common to walk inside and check out. Just depends on if they are having mass or not. The architecture is beautiful. Just be respectful. Its still a place of worship.
There are always shows and performances going on. But also if anyone is looking for a place for church on Sunday Sarah and I attend Compassion Christian's Downtown services. They are non-denominational and rent the theater on Sundays for worship at 9am and 11am.
Traveling and Wedding weekend got you feeling exhausted. This is your one stop shop for coffe, tea, wine, beer, and tex mex style snacks and food.
Another great stop for a caffeine boost. For those of you who really enjoy tea over coffee this is the place. They have the greatest selection of hot tea. Just go to the right of the cash register. All the teas are labeled so you can read which one you like. Also feel free to smell the tea leaves.
Another fun little coffee shop. This one is conveniently located right on Forsyth Park. Forsyth is a great park to walk around.
Another great coffee stop in town.
Quick stop for a great breakfast biscuit or donut.
Great for a snack or light meal.
Great place for a sit down meal. Right on Bay Street. This is on of Adam's favorite breakfast spots.
This is one of Savannah's newest restaurants. And it is great. You are going to think I am crazy but this is a breakfast Asian fusion restaurant. Sounds weird but believe me its delicious. Adam personally is in love with this cheese grits.
Adam's personal favorite place for BBQ in Savannah. Even Richard Drummond has eaten here and gives his approval so you know it's good.
There is nothing fancy about this place but the food is great. Just looking for a casual meal. Mix and match all types of sliders and mini hot dogs.
This is a restaurant for anyone looking for something different. It is literally a hole in the wall restaurant so their only seating is outside. Just keep that in mind when deciding. Also, that means there is always a line our the door, because only a couple people fit inside at a time. So the line is only as long as it looks from the outside. It is a South African restaurant. Too hard to explain so you'll just have to try it.
Great little lunch place. Mainly Salads, Sandwiches, and Soups. Check out their grilled cheese of the month.
This is one of our favorite restaurants. It's a bit quirky but always a good time. Also usually open pretty late which helps.
March is hit or miss with the weather. So if it turns out colder that we hope this is a great noodle bar to stop into and warm up. One of Adam's personal favorites in Savannah.
Best Mexican Food in Savannah in our humble opinion. Their queso gets Sarah's approval.
Fix your sweet tooth. Free samples of pralines.
This is no secret. They are known for their ice cream and it is really good. There is always a long line but it moves quickly.
Savannah's Country Western Bar. Great for live music (usually) and dancing.
Just a little dive martini bar. But some creative concoctions so don't think your typical martini.
Flash back to the 1920's in this hidden speakeasy. To get in you have to find the location and have a special key. Peek your interest? Talk to Adam.
This is a newer bar in Savannah. It is above the prohibition museum. Less secretive than your typical speakeasy but still a great place. Usually a quiet crowd.
Another prohibition type bar. It's starting to become a thing around here. A play off of it's name you literally have to walk down the alley to find it.
This is where desserts meet drinks. After 10pm and ID is required just to enter. Even if you only want dessert.
Late night street food. DJ and dance floor. Billiards upstairs and downstairs. Darts downstairs. Outside seating and bar if the weather is nice.
Roof top bar above the Cotton Sail Hotel on the River. Great view of the Bridge and the City. Comfortable outside couches if weather is nice. Inside seating if not. Great appetizers and cheese boards. One of the more upscale bars on the recommendation list. :)
