I still dream about this place. The ice cream is "Savor such 'holy-shit-that's-good' flavors such as Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbons, Coffee & Bourbon and Chocolate Gooey Brownie." So you love Ice Cream or have a sweet tooth. This is a mandatory place to check out.
If you're a seafood lover, fisherman's wharf won't disappoint. Fisherman’s Wharf, on the northern waterfront, is one of the city's busiest tourist areas. Souvenir shops and stalls selling crab and clam chowder in sourdough bread bowls appear at every turn, as do postcard views of the bay, Golden Gate and Alcatraz. There’s also a colony of sea lions to see and historic ships to tour. At Ghirardelli Square, boutiques and eateries reside in the famed former chocolate factory.
This place for my Sandwich lovers !!! It was also, Drus favorite place that we ate at. Theres cool art on the walls and they play good music. The service was amazing and you could tell that the workers love their job because the sandwiches are so BOMB ! They're also huge, you can probably split one !
China town is huge in San Francisco. So we made it a must to eat it while we were out there, even though we were both so full ! This place had great Chinese food and Dim Sum. So if you haven't had good Chinese food in a while, stop here along the way. Everything is served family style. We ordered enough for two families when we stopped !! Enjoy :)
If you check out Yosemite, stop here for lunch and sit outside. I think this is the place to dine during sunset. This was my favorite place, mostly for the view. It's a mom and pop restaurant that definitely gets busy. They serve burgers and sandwiches. Everyone their ordered the onion rings.
I know everyone runs to Dunkin or Starbucks but please stop at Philz !! You won't regret it. They have multiple locations, and if you're lucky you'll catch the food truck they drive around in. Thats actually how we discovered them. We made it a point to have them again. The coffee and blends are worth the stop.
The View atop the San Francisco Marriott Marquis offers a unique collection of California wines and signature cocktails accompanied by locally inspired small plates. Here, breathtaking panoramic views of the city and a unique atmosphere that changes with the desires of the guests - from an early evening dining scene to a late night hotspot – make this a must-visit San Francisco destination.
I visited this hole in the wall with Dru and my amazing friend Ashley. For those who know me, I yelp everything and its either hit or miss. When we walked in this bar, we all were a little skeptical but WE LOVED IT !!! When you walk in its dark, almost like a pirate tiki bar. The vibe is amazing but the drinks are even better. Im hoping to make it back here during the trip. Anyone looking for good vibes and amazing drinks. This is the spot.
Bourbon & Branch is a glimpse back on the 1920's and the era of Prohibition when the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverage was outlawed. You'll experience the ambiance of that time in an actual speakeasy that operated illegally at this location from 1921 to 1933. From 1921-1923 the address is listed in the San Francisco Telephone Directory of the day as "The Ipswitch - A Beverage Parlor". If you enjoy a nice speak easy, check it out and LET US KNOW !!! We wanna check it out too :)
I'm such a foodie. Unique places are my absolute favorite ! I found this place of yelp (obviously). So if you wake up in the morning and you need a coffee, make it a point to stop here. Cookie Monster Latte ? Birthday Cake Latte !!!! Ice Lavender Latte ?? TAKE ME THERE !!! I NEED TO GO HERE !
San Francisco, in northern California, is a hilly city on the tip of a peninsula surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay. It's known for its year-round fog, iconic Golden Gate Bridge, cable cars and colorful Victorian houses. Its also, always chillier in San Francisco, so bring a jacket. In the bay sits Alcatraz Island, site of the notorious former prison, which can get booked up quick, so if you want to check it out book it in advance !! One of my favorite places in San Fran was Haight Ashbury, total hipster and artsy town. You deff need to take a stroll through there.
Yosemite National Park is in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains. It was one of our favorite places in California to see and although its a bit out of the way, if you rent a car it is WORTH THE DRIVE ! It’s famed for its giant, ancient sequoia trees, and for Tunnel View, the iconic vista of towering Bridalveil Fall and the granite cliffs of El Capitan and Half Dome. On the way out you'll also find an amazing restaurant on the cliff overlooking California and all of its beautiful mountain views.
Muir Woods National Monument is part of California’s Golden Gate National Recreation Area, north of San Francisco. It’s known for its towering old-growth redwood trees. Trails wind among the trees to Cathedral Grove and Bohemian Grove, and along Redwood Creek. The Ben Johnson and Dipsea trails climb a hillside for views of the treetops, the Pacific Ocean and Mount Tamalpais in adjacent Mount Tamalpais State Park.
Sausalito is just a ferry ride across the bay and offers unique tours, attractions such as “Bay Model” and “Bay Area Discovery Museum,” enchanting boutique shops, art studios and galleries and a wide selection of restaurants, outdoor cafes and bistros, many with stunning views back across the bay to the city. If you're in San Francisco you should 100% take the ferry to Sausalito and enjoy some seafood by the water with a glass of wine.
Do you love wine ? If you do, Napa Country is a MUST !! Napa County is north of San Francisco, in California. It's known for hundreds of hillside vineyards in the Napa Valley wine region. In the city of Napa, Oxbow Public Market features regional gourmet food. We stopped at Oxbow Public Market for oysters and tacos and it was AMAZING !! The Napa Valley Wine Train is a vintage locomotive and traveling restaurant running through the valley. Northwest of Napa is Yountville, a town known for high-end restaurants and sparkling wine.
Big Sur is a rugged stretch of California’s central coast between Carmel and San Simeon. We did our engagement photos here and boy was it breathtaking !! If you want to be blown away by views, this is 100% a place to check out. You're not only surrounded by east by the Santa Lucia Mountains and the west by the Pacific Ocean, it’s traversed by narrow, 2-lane State Route 1, known for winding turns, seaside cliffs and views of the often-misty coastline. You'll also find hiking trails through a forest. Along the drive you'll pass Carmel and Monterey, which we suggest you stop at both. You'll find another Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey. Promise its all worth the drive.
