Virginia Creeper Trail

Virginia Creeper Trail

Virginia Creeper Trail, Abingdon, VA 24211

Take a page out of our book and go ride the Virginia Creeper Trail! The Creeper Trail is a 34-mile multi-use trail that extends from Whitetop Mountain to Abingdon, VA. Bring your own bike or rent one from the shops in Abingdon or Damascus and enjoy the natural beauty of the area! A quick but important note: many of the hiking and biking trails in the area were severely damaged or destroyed due to Hurricane Helene, including the entire 17-mile eastern section of the Creeper Trail from Damascus to Whitetop Mountain. The Town of Damascus has been working diligently to repair and restore its trails. So, if you choose to go hiking or biking, go with grace, patience, and understanding, and if you've got some free time, Damascus could really use your tourism and business as they work to rebuild what was lost.
