If you are staying after the wedding - this is so much fun for kids and adults. The first day is November 14th. You get a giant parka and walk around through massive ice sculptures and even can slide down an ice slide. YOU WILL NEED TICKETS IN ADVANCE! We went to this last year and it was really cool.
This is where the day after party/dinner is located, but there is a lot to do here. They have a cattle drive that walks down the middle of the road twice a day (11:30am & 4:00pm). There are tons of shops from high-end western wear to fun touristy souvenir shops. Get a drink at Second Rodeo Brewing for outdoor seating and live music, or Hotel Drover for a more upscale/fancier place. Billy Bobs is good for a drink, dinner, and just to walk around (it is the Worlds Largest Honky Tonk) There are also concerts here but you will have to get tickets in advance. Get Ice Cream at Melt. If you want another meal here I recommend Biscuit Bar for biscuit sandwiches, Lonesome Dove for a nice date night (pricier), or Joe T. Garcias for Mexican (the patio is amazinggg but their may be a wait, also bring cash!).
This is in Dallas - so it is about an hour from where our wedding will be, but this is a really fun place this time of year. They decorate with THOUSANDS of pumpkins. This is super cool to walk around in and get Family Fall Photos.
If you are looking to take a hike and explore texas wildlife - this is the place! We always see wild deer here. They also have a herd of Bison that you are able to see sometimes. There are also all kinds of other wildlife species here! Prairie dogs, squirrels, alligators, etc.
