The closest major town is Monroe, ~10 min drive west of Sultan. There are plenty of hotels in Monroe, or many local Airbnb, VRBOs, etc. in the area. We recommend staying between Monroe and Index (~30min east of the Sultan), as traffic can be unpredictable.
