We’re getting married!

After first matching on Tinder (I know right?!) in November, 2014, Ian and Amber met for the first time in person at The Fox Theater in Oakland on her 29th birthday. Big thanks to what turned out to be a mutual friend Alexis for accompanying Ian and breaking any awkwardness with her big personality and Ashley B. for helping Amber ease the nerves before hand with a few drinks. It was love at first swipe!

If you know Ian, you know he is a man with a plan. He chose a special day in October with purpose, before any birthdays and holidays could shadow their celebration. Little did he know, another wildfire would come through and shake up any and all things planned. Instead of a hike or a beach trip like he thought, he surprised Amber that morning (sweatpants and all) in their own home. He slid the ring on to Levi's (the cutest orange kitty around) collar and called her over, and after the initial shock sunk in, she said YES!
