South Beach Iconic Miami. Spend a few hours on the beach, walk along the oceanfront path, or rent bikes and explore the neighborhood. Key Biscayne For something quieter, head to Key Biscayne (one of our favorite parts of Miami). A few favorites: Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park. Beautiful beaches, calm water, and the historic Cape Florida Lighthouse. Crandon Park. A classic Miami beach lined with palms and clear, shallow water. Virginia Key. A quieter alternative with a more natural, laid-back feel.
Wynwood Walls: Miami's famous outdoor museum of murals and street art. Miami Design District: Beautiful architecture, galleries, designer shopping, and some great restaurants. Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM): Modern and contemporary art in a gorgeous waterfront setting.
Mandolin Aegean Bistro: One of our favorites for Mediterranean food in a beautiful garden setting. Zuma: Japanese food and waterfront views in Downtown Miami. Café La Trova: Cuban food, live music, and excellent cocktails in Little Havana. Joe's Stone Crab: A Miami institution and worth a visit during stone crab season. Coconut Grove: One of our favorite areas for dinner or drinks, especially around sunset.
One of the best ways to experience Miami is from the water. Charter a boat for an afternoon on Biscayne Bay, go fishing, or simply find somewhere waterfront for a long lunch and a few drinks.
The Florida Keys: Drive south to Key Largo or Islamorada for turquoise water, fresh seafood, and a completely different side of South Florida. We highly considered Cheeca Lodge, Pierre's, and The Islander. Everglades National Park: Explore one of Florida's most unique landscapes by airboat, kayak, or walking trail. Biscayne National Park: Almost entirely water and best explored by boat, with snorkeling, islands, and beautiful views of Biscayne Bay.
