The island explorer free shuttle is your best bet! https://www.exploreacadia.com/routefinder.html
There is plenty of parking at the venue. There is also a public parking area right next door. If you are staying nearby, you may want to take a little stroll there (shoes permitting) as most places in Bar Harbor are walkable and the weather is so nice.
Please arrive in the Bar Harbor Inn lobby at 11:00 am sharp. By 11:15 you will be escorted by our lovely coordinator Brianna, onto the Bar Harbor Inn lawn to take your seats. The ceremony begins at 11:30.
We found this guide online, which we really think will help. Dress to impress, but be comfy! Ladies- the ceremony will be on grass, so keep that in mind when choosing your shoes. Even though it’s July, a light sweater is still a good idea for the evening. https://blog.wedtexts.com/what-is-garden-party-attire-for-a-wedding/
Check the travel tab. You have three options here. Bangor (1 hr drive from Bar Harbor), Portland (3 hr drive from Bar Harbor), Boston (Quick cape air flight from Boston to Bar Harbor or 5 hr drive from Bar Harbor)
There are so many options in Bar Harbor, at all different price points. We recommend that you stay on Mount Dessert Island, as everything is walkable downtown. Check out the travel tab for recommendations. Be sure to book early, as Bar Harbor books up fast for the summer season, and things can be more pricey closer to the date.
We absolutely love all of your children. However, due to the capacity at our venue, we ask that they do not attend unless we’ve specifically listed your children on the invitation.
We are having an outdoor ceremony, and an indoor cocktail hour and reception. The after party will be outdoors with an indoor area.
Hopefully nice and sunny :) July is one of the the warmest months, but being in Maine the average high temperatures range from the mid-70s to the low-80s during the day and high-50s to low-60s at night. There are a handful of rainy days each month, but the summer is typically dry and sunny, with very little humidity.
We will have a vegetarian option for lunch, and everything will be nut-free, as we have a nut allergy at home. Anything else please contact us :)
Hard yes.
We are having an “unplugged” ceremony. We have a fantastic photographer, Robin, and videographer, Coco, who will capture this moment so that you all can be fully present with us. While we ask that you turn your phones off for the ceremony, after the ceremony is free game! Snap and post away! #drewlyweds
