Depending on where you will be flying in from, it is typical to have 1-2 flight connections to get to St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The most common connecting cities are Miami (MIA), San Juan (SJU), Charlotte (CTL), and Atlanta (ATL).

The wedding venue is located on the North Shore of the island. We recommend that guests stay in that area which is beautiful and located near many beaches, restaurants and beach bars. Another area that guests might be interested in staying is about 30 minutes away near the town of Christiansted. There is a harbor and downtown area with shops and restaurants. We recommend the hotels listed below. There are also many great options for house, condo and apartment rentals on VRBO and Airbnb. If you go this route, please keep in mind that as with any Caribbean island there are some rough neighborhoods. Use the map above as a guide for where we are staying. We recommend that you stay inside the highlighted area on the map above. Arawak Bay The Inn at Salt River

This small bed and breakfast is on St. Croix’s north shore about a 5 minute drive from the wedding venue. It offers views of Salt River Bay and the Caribbean Sea from each room, complimentary island breakfasts as well as a pool and bar. This is not a beach front property however there are multiple beach options within a 5-10 min. drive. Rates start at $135/night.

Waves at Cane Bay

This small hotel is on St. Croix’s north shore about a 10 minute drive from the wedding venue. All rooms have private balconies and views of the Caribbean Sea. There is a great restaurant and bar on the property as well as many more within a short walk or drive. This is not a beach front property but Cane Bay beach is only a 5 min. walk away. Rates start at $170/night.

This resort is on the east end of St. Croix, about a 30 minute drive from the wedding venue. It is one of the top three luxury hotels in the U.S. Virgin Islands. This resort is on the east end of St. Croix, about a 30 minute drive from the wedding venue. The property has ocean front rooms as well as a beach, pool, spa, bar, restaurant and tennis courts. It is located next to a marina where there is the option to get a sailing or fishing charter. Rates start at $120/night.

Gentle Winds Condominiums

These are privately owned condominiums on the north shore of St. Croix, about a 10 minute drive from the wedding venue. You will need to book a rental through VRBO or Airbnb. The property has ocean front rentals as well as a beach, pool and tennis courts. There are many beaches, bars and restaurants all within a 15 minute drive down the shoreline.

Stay Left Mon!

Driving in St. Croix We do not recommend trying to use public transport or taxis to get around in St. Croix. There are a lot of things to see and do as well as beautiful scenic drives so it’s best to rent a car while visiting. It can be marginally more expensive to rent a car at the airport but we recommend it for the convenience and professionalism. A Jeep is a fun and reliable choice. Expect that some of the roads will be dirt and may have potholes to China! You will be fine with a small car on the main roads, however, be cautious about taking scenic drives and backroads. Most of all remember to STAY LEFT MON! Crucians drive on the left side of the road.

Taxi Information

We recommend renting as taxi service is not the most reliable on St. Croix and can become costly quickly. Unfortunately, Uber and Lyft do not currently operate there. If you do plan to use taxis to get to and from the airport or to get around generally, we recommend using the following vendor versus hailing a taxi. Wedding Shuttle

May 18, 2019 AFTERNOON SHUTTLE 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm (Ceremony is at 5 pm) We ask that guests drive or taxi to the Salt River Marina due to limited parking at the wedding venue. We will be providing a shuttle service from there to the venue. EVENING SHUTTLE 9:00 - 11:30 pm We will have a shuttle at the wedding venue that will be running every half an hour from 9 to 11:30 P.M. to bring guests back to their desired locations. NOTE: You can leave your car in the marina parking lot overnight and pick it up whenever you would like the next day.
