Sydney liked Drew's prompt that said he could play "Mr. Brightside" on multiple instruments, which led to a quick exchange and an immediate plan for a first date. As can happen from time to time, Drew got sick with what Sydney would later learn was a nephew-contracted case of Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease, and they had to push their drinks, which, due to a baseball game schedule change, turned into coffee. They soon learned that they just missed each other the night before at a mutual friend's party that Sydney attended and Drew almost attended. A wise friend once shared that you have two chances to meet your soul mate, and fate decided instead of at a bar in Glassell Park, it should be over coffee at Blue Bottle.
