FAQs

Question

Attire

Answer

Rustic & Chic—dressy but comfortable for a 3:30 PM October celebration in New England. Cocktail or semi-formal looks are perfect, and be sure to bring a cozy layer for the evening chill.

Question

What to Pack

Answer

Vermont in October brings gorgeous foliage and cool, refreshing air—perfect for cozy layers. Here are a few things to help you stay comfortable all weekend: Layered Clothing – A light sweater or flannel for daytime, plus a warmer jacket or coat for cooler evenings. Comfortable Shoes – Great for walking between buildings or wandering the property (think grass, gravel, and dirt paths). Light Accessories – Beanies and scarves are great for the fire pit and s’mores. Flashlight or Headlamp – Helpful for nighttime strolls or if you’re staying in the creekside tents. Think “crisp autumn getaway”—layers for warmth, comfort for relaxing, and something extra for enjoying the outdoors.

Question

Where to Stay

Answer

On-Property Lodging We’d love for you to make the most of the weekend by staying right on the property with us. The accommodations are complimentary, and you’re welcome to settle in for the night—or the whole weekend! There are four guest houses, each with multiple rooms, so you may be sharing a house (and maybe even a coffee pot) with friends or family you haven’t met yet. We think that’s part of the charm—it’s a great way to mingle, connect, and keep the celebration going even after the music stops. For the Rustic at Heart If you’re up for a more outdoorsy experience, there are also a few canvas tents set up next to a peaceful creek. Perfect for falling asleep to the sound of running water and waking up surrounded by nature. If you’d like to stay on-site (in a house or a tent), just let us know so we can make sure you’re all set. Nearby Options Johnnycake Flats Inn – A charming local B&B with plenty of character. My Place Hotel – A comfortable and convenient stay just minutes away.
