Natalie and Drew met in 2017 where they both attended school at Carthage College. Drew was a senior and Natalie was a junior at the time. They first met each other during the spring semester where they had the same business class together. They were both studying as business majors so it's crazy to think this was their first class together (knowing how small Carthage is). Although Drew seems to believe he knew of Natalie before this class, this was the first time Natalie had seen Drew. They didn’t interact with each other while in class because Natalie was always so intimidated by Drew and all his baseball friends sitting in the back of the room so in shy girl fashion Natalie never gave the opportunity for them to be able to talk with each other and would leave class right away to go back to her dorm and head to the gym. Natalie and one of her closest friends would always go to the gym together and this is where Natalie started to notice Drew there and started to become very intrigued by this “baseball guy”. After frequently running into each other now, Natalie then received a follow request from Drew on Instagram and that is when Drew decided to slide into Natalie’s DM’s. They then began to have small conversations getting to know each other and would start saying hi when running into each other whether in class or in the gym. A few short months later is when they had a classic college first date at Texas Roadhouse. Natalie seemed to believe it went well since Drew then started to invite her to come watch his baseball games. This is when Natalie had her first interaction with some of Drew's family. Natalie was waiting after the game to say hi to Drew and of course Drew's family standing close by doing the same. This is such a special memory to Natalie not knowing at the time they were going to become special people in her life and become family. After talking and hanging out together the last few months, the school year was coming to an end and they were finishing their finals week and packing up to go back home for the summer. Drew was walking Natalie to her car before she started her drive back home when they were both talking about hanging out together this summer and agreed it wouldn't be a problem since they only lived 40 minutes from each other at the time. Drew then asked Natalie if he could see her phone so he could add an emoji next to his name so when he gave the phone back and Natalie checked to see what Drew put it read “Will you be my girlfriend?” (she said yes). Fast forward 7 years being together, they now live together in Florida where Drew proposed to Natalie in May 2024 (finally) at the beach with the most perfect sunset with a little help from their friends who did the best job capturing their moment. We are now so excited to celebrate with everyone on February 27,2026. Meet you in Cancun, Mexico!
