Although we had hoped that this year would allow us to move forward with our wedding as originally planned, we have had to make the tough decision to limit our guest list as we continue with our original wedding date of May 1, 2021. We will continue to monitor the situation, and extend additional invites if the circumstances allow us to do so. Please understand that as much as we would love to celebrate with all our friends and family as we had hoped, we want to ensure the safety of all of our guests. At this point in our lives, it doesn't seem feasible to postpone our wedding with so much still unknown. We sincerely appreciate your love, concern and understanding and hope to see everyone during safer times! Please see the COVID Wedding Updates tab for full updates and FAQ.
We met through mutual friends at a local Chicago bar, Zella's - known for it's endless mimosas - to watch the March Madness games cheering on our favorite teams, MSU & Iowa. Drew couldn't take his eyes off the blonde with the loud laugh and after a *few* mimosas, worked up with courage to ask her on a date.
After several trips between Chicago and Michigan, we made the move to Metro Detroit, bought a fixer upper and made our house into a home. We got a puppy (& named her after where we first met!), started a new job and a life together in the same city. After a visit back to Chicago, Drew proposed while on a walk in the neighborhood Lauren grew up in, with the sun setting in the background. We look forward to many more sunsets together!
