We met at an orientation meeting for the Service and Justice Trip program at Creighton. Drew was a trip coordinator and I was a prospective participant. We hit it off immediately, but nothing really came of it until we met up again through mutual friends. That time, we decided to explore if there was something between us. Needless to say, there was and we were dating a month later!

We planned to go to brunch the day after I got home from a conference. Despite it being one of the windiest days we experienced that winter (up to 50 mph gusts), Drew wanted to walk to the restaurant. We took a roundabout way to get to the restaurant through the park and when we got to the Lincoln Park Zoo bridge, Drew stopped, got down on one knee and proposed!

We were married in an intimate ceremony at the Delaney lake house in Okoboji, IA. Though we were unable to have all of our family and friends together to witness our wedding, we're so glad that we could live stream the ceremony so that many of you could watch! Now, over a year later, we can't wait to see you in Chicago to help us celebrate our marriage!
