We met at the golf course we both worked at in 2020. At the beginning of the season in 2021, Drew was a member of the course and I was still employed. We both happened to be up there on the sushi class night, and I fed him the sushi I made! From there we started talking a ton, golfed together a few times, and officially started dating on May 21, 2021!

On our two year anniversary, we were supposed to go down to Detroit for dinner on the Riverwalk. I got home from a short shift the morning of, and Drew told me he had asked a family member with a nice camera to take some pictures for us as an anniversary present. I didn't think anything of it, as I'd been asking for us to have pictures taken for a while! We walked the trail in Flushing and waited for this "family member with the camera" of his. He walked me down by the river, and when I turned around to make a stupid comment about how I shouldn't be trusted by water to not fall in, he was walking back down the hill with the ring in his hand. He made sure that his mom, my mom, and his step mom were there to witness the big moment. He told me he loved me, and that I was the best thing that ever could have happened in his life and got down on one knee. The rest is history! (yes, I cried)
