Our must visit, basically a requirement of all out-of-town guests. We dare you to take the leap if you're up for it - or just enjoy a drink while you watch the paragliders fly along the coast.
Self-Realization Fellowship Meditation Gardens
Our most Northern recommendation, the meditation gardens are a stunning location to read a book, meditate or relax. These picturesque cliffside gardens request your silence while you visit. Right around the corner is Swami's point, one of the world's famous surf breaks.
Little Italy
Pasta, pasta and more pasta. Get your coma here. Farmer's market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Our favorite pocket of downtown San Diego.
Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve
Up for a hike? Guy Fleming trail, Razor Point, Glider Port to Black's beach are all easy to moderate hikes with beautiful coast views. Warning - Black's beach does not require clothing, enter at your own risk.
Windansea Beach
The hidden gem beach for locals.
La Jolla Cove
Check out the famous sea lions, you'll smell them before you see them. Tons of great lunch/brunch options around La Jolla - Marisi, Birdseye Rooftop, il Giardino de Lilli, Sushi Nekosan, Queenstown Village, Puesto.
Sunset Cliffs
The name says what it does best, however we recommend a visit any time for a beautiful coastal view or picnic lunch location.
Hermosa Surf
Local coffee and surf shop located in Birdrock. Hermosa toast and frothy coffee are a must, great smoothies, acai bowls and matcha. Grab some food and head to Windansea beach for one of our personal favorite San Diego days.
Balboa Park
Beautfiul botanic gardens, museums, and green space in the heart of the city. Very close proximity to the Lafayette Hotel, and home to the San Diego Zoo.
Bird Rock
One of our favorite neighborhoods for brunch and shopping - Hermosa Surf, Forbleu Interiors, Roam Homewares, Tropical Punch, Beaumont's, Dodo Bird Donuts
