Things To Do

Old Montreal has tons of restaurants, spas and shops in the area. The area is touristy so you have to be careful when picking spots to eat. Below are recommendations to make it easier.
Food and Drink Recommendations

Food and Drink Recommendations

Montréal, QC H2Y 1Z5, Canada

Attached is a google sheet with all our recommendations for coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails. We recommend making reservations for any larger groups.

Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal

Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal

110 Rue Notre-Dame Ouest, Montréal, QC H2Y 1T1, Canada

This gorgeous Neo-Gothic church is a short walk from the hotel. You will have to buy tickets but it is definitely worth it. The stained glass incorporates the history of Montreal and the Catholic church.

Bota Bota, spa-sur-l'eau

Bota Bota, spa-sur-l'eau

Rue de la Commune Ouest, Montréal, QC H2Y 2E2, Canada

Floating spa, pool and restaurant with a nordic water circuit on a boat overlooking the city. Bathing suits are required so don't forget to pack them! I would make a reservation ahead of time. Great spot for a nap.

Cité Mémoire Downtown Walk

Cité Mémoire Downtown Walk

150 Notre-Dame St. East,, Montreal

On Friday and Saturday evenings, the city of Montreal projects short stories about their history onto buildings throughout the city after dark. There isn't a specific path you have to follow but the attached link has all the locations. We found this was a great activity after the museum so you have a bit more context on the cities history.

Montreal Museum of Archaeology and History

Montreal Museum of Archaeology and History

350 Place Royale, Montréal, QC H2Y 3Y5, Canada

A museum on the history of Montreal. It is on top of the ruins of the first European settlement in the area.

L'Affichiste Posters

L'Affichiste Posters

461 Rue Saint-François-Xavier, Montréal, QC H2Y 2T2, Canada

Adorable vintage poster gallery. You can find some really unique pieces here.

Mile End & Le Plateau Mont Royal Neighborhoods

Mile End & Le Plateau Mont Royal Neighborhoods

Montreal, QC, Canada

The neighborhoods Mile End & Le Plateau Mont Royal are about a 20 minute Uber or train ride away. We recommend them if you plan to be in Montreal for a few extra days. This neighborhood is great for food, cocktails, night clubs and thrifting. Reach out to Kara/Drew if you want more recommendations for this area!

Mount Royal Park

Mount Royal Park

Montreal, QC H3H 1A1, Canada

Large hill in the center of the city with a park. Climb to the top for a great view of the city.

For all the days along the way
