FAQs

We are working with a wonderful wedding planner to coordinate our day. As the date approaches, we will share her contact details for any urgent, last-minute questions that aren't covered here on the site.
Question

Where exactly is Kaibo?

Answer

Kaibo is located in the Cayman Kai area on the North Side of the island. It’s about 45 minutes from the airport (GCM) and Seven Mile Beach by car. It is famously quiet, scenic, and much more "old school Caribbean" than the main tourist strips. 585 Water Cay Rd, Grand Cayman KY1-1701, Cayman Islands

Question

How do I get to (and from) the wedding?

Answer

You have two main options: The Water Taxi: This is the most fun way to arrive! There is a ferry that runs from Camana Bay directly to the Kaibo dock. It takes about 20–25 minutes. We will post the specific wedding shuttle boat times here once they are confirmed. Rental Car/Taxi: If you prefer to drive, there is plenty of free parking at the venue. Please note that taxis from Seven Mile Beach to Kaibo can be expensive (around $80–$100 each way), so carpooling or the ferry is best! Note: If staying down the beach in an Airbnb, you can feel free to walk on over! Whatever works best for you. Transportation home should be planned ahead, please reach out to Drew or Jess if you need assistance with this.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Think "Island Formal." We want you to be comfortable in the heat! For Men: Linen pants or chinos and a button-down shirt, no ties required (Just please no Hawaiian shirts...) For Women: Sundresses, midi dresses, or jumpsuits The Shoe Situation: The ceremony is on the sand. We recommend flat sandals or wedges. Stiletto heels will likely sink, but feel free to do whatever makes you comfortable!

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both! Our ceremony will be on the beach (feet in the sand), followed by dinner and dancing. Kaibo has great covered areas and sea breezes, but it will be warm, so dress for tropical weather.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We’ve waited 10 years for this moment, and we’d love to see your faces, not your phones! We are having an "unplugged" ceremony, but we promise to share all our professional photos with you later. Once the party starts at the reception, take as many photos as you like!

Question

When will we RSVP?

Answer

Official invites will be sent out in a few months, in which you will come back to this site and confirm your attendance status, but feel free to start booking accommodations now. If you got the Save the Date, we promise that invite will be coming your way.
