Jake and Drew's love story began one afternoon at Nakama in South Side. Drew was out with her friend, Krystal, for drinks and sushi, when Krystal’s friend, Derek ("Rooster"), walked in with Jake. During a conversation late that evening, Jake tried to convince Drew to work for his company, Abbott Vascular instead of another company that Drew was considering. A couple months later, she saw on LinkedIn that Jake had been promoted. She reached out to him for details about backfilling his former role. Drew ended up getting the job at Abbott Vascular, and worked with Jake for about a year before he left the company for a better opportunity. They remained friends over the next two years while working for different companies. It was around this time that Jake finally asked Drew out on a date. From that point on, Drew and Jake have been inseparable! When they began dating, it was the beginning of the Covid pandemic. It has been said that relationships were either made or tested during Covid. Jake and Drew agree, that summer was the best of their lives. They spent every second together, whether it was at home, at camp in Althom PA or on Middle Bass Island. Jake told Drew before they were officially dating, that he was going to marry her and she was going to have his babies. He wasn't kidding. After a year of dating, surrounded by friends and family, Jake asked Drew to marry him! Drew and Jake are excited to spend the rest of their lives together and can't wait to share their wedding day with their families and closest friends.
