The first time Inecita met Drew was when his band, Borderline was performing at what used to be called Jaxx Nightclub in Springfield, VA. This was during the summer of their sophomore year of college. After the show she also met his other band mates; Cliff, Mike D, and Connor who are all in the wedding party! Little did Inecita and Drew know that their first encounter would turn into something much more meaningful down the road.

On December 28th, Inecita’s mom told her that she wanted to take her out for a fun night in DC before she headed back to Glen Burnie to continue her program. Her dad and Benji drove the girls to the “restaurant” where they had reservations. They ended up taking her to where Drew was which was this hidden gem in DuPont circle called, the Spanish Steps. There, Drew was waiting for her at the top of the steps. As if she wasn’t already surprised enough, her sister and middle school best friend, Lauren were hiding in the corner taking pictures to capture this special moment! Afterwards, there was in fact reservations to a restaurant where some of Inecita’s closest and dearest friends were waiting for them. It was truly such a magical and thoughtful evening put together by Drew <3
