We met in 2010 when I was a freshman and Henry was a sophomore. We had first period math and second period art together (ironically, Henry did better in art and I did better in math–how things can change!). Fast forward to the next year when we were both chosen for the Honor Board–we get it, we're nerds–and Henry drove me home after a group meeting. We went on our first official date a few weeks later and the rest is history!

On the tenth annual Topor-FC family Christmas vacation to the BVI, we started the trip in Anegada. We woke up the first morning in our palapa and decided to go for a walk down the beach. With the ring loose in his bathing suit pocket, Henry got down on one knee and said "I had a whole speech prepared, but I forget it." I had to make sure he wasn't joking–there had been a few fake proposals in the past–but once I saw the ring I knew it was real and I gasped. Henry put the ring on my finger and we started the walk back towards our families. After a few minutes, we realized I had never actually said "yes," but the ring was already on and there was no going back. We were engaged! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in NYC!
