We are so excited to celebrate with you!

Drew had just begun to attend a church, Friendship Baptist. The next Sunday night, Ellianna was invited to attend that church with her roommate. We met that Sunday night in August of 2019. Although we didn't hit it off right away, we gradually became good friends, as we spent time practicing singing with a group of friends, and getting meals after church with our group. Eventually Drew came up to Ellianna while eating and after talking for a long time, asked if she wanted to join him for a hike. On our first hike up Sharp Top, we became fast friends. Over time our feelings for one another became apparent.

On February 19, 2022 Drew took Ellianna on a special surprise date in celebration for her upcoming 21st birthday. He took special time and care to make breakfast for her, and then drove out to Roanoke, VA to celebrate the day. We spent time looking at art in an art museum for a couple hours and walking a little ways through the town to get to the car. After that Drew drove us to a cute little bistro called "Our Daily Bread" to get some yummy food while we chatted. After that the next place we went to see, was a walk in the woods in a path in Roanoke. Towards the end of the hike, Drew got down on one knee and asked Ellianna if she would be his wife, after professing his love for her. Needless to say, she said yes in jubilation. We shared our first kiss ever together after the proposal. Drew's final surprise was an ice cream soda float and then we headed back to college with joy.

We cannot wait to see what the Lord will bring our way and the people that He may call us to impact together. We have been so blessed by so many people who have supported and loved us along the way, and can't wait for this new journey in our lives and the beginning of a new chapter.
