Standard “City of Seattle” things to experience, but we love them too! Plug these into your favorite search engine. Pike Place Market - It’s bigger than it looks! Five levels deep with bespoke stores on every level. Also home of the first Starbucks. Seattle Center - Home of the Space Needle, Museum of Pop Culture, and the Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum. If you’re heading here, you may want to get a CityPass. Seattle Aquarium - Located down by the waterfront, they just built a huge new extension. Underground Tour - http://www.undergroundtour.com/ . After the city burned down, it was re-graded and rebuilt on top of itself. Take a tour of the original Seattle! Gasworks Park - Located in Fremont, provides an iconic view of the city.
Off The Beaten Path
Golden Gardens Park - One of our favorite places to just enjoy the beach in Seattle! Ballard - We love the whole neighborhood of Ballard. Enjoy the Ballard Locks, and the adjacent garden where we took our engagement photos! Then check out the bars and restaurants in Ballard itself.
Woodland Park Zoo
Our wedding journey began here in the presence of a few close friends and a blue-tongue skink. Knowing that Drew is a huge zoo fan, Chris booked an animal meet-and-greet and used it to pop the question! It’s a fantastic zoo that puts conservation first.
WOOD SHOP BBQ
Best BBQ in the city. Be sure to get the jalapeño mac and cheese. You can usually find street parking in the neighborhood.
