We're getting married!

B: While Drew tells the story a lot differently, we met when I was getting my doctorate at MUSC. I was at a bar in Charleston with some friends and quite literally ran into him (one might say I was having too much fun)! God must have known we needed to see each other again, because I saw him the next morning at a coffee shop where he threw out the flirty comment, "Oh, you again" and finished with ""You know I only talk to the cool girls, good thing we're talking." Although we clearly were both charmed, I wanted nothing to do with dating while finishing my degree, but I gave him my phone number anyway. D: I was at a bar on King St with friends when a girl ran into me. She apologized and walked away, but by some miracle I saw her the next morning at a coffee shop and knew I couldn't miss my opportunity to talk to her.

B: After being bombared with text messages I agreed to go on a date with him on none other then Valentines Day 2021. He took me to the Shems Creek where we had literally the best BBQ ive ever had in my entire life and watched the sun set. Although I didnt admit it then, I was absolutely smitten and knew I was going to break my promise to myself to not date. D: I took Bridget to Shems Creek and asked her everything ab about herself as I was so utterly obsessed with her (in a non-creepy way). I may or may not have asked to kiss her at the end of the night ( I totally did and it was so worth it).

B: Literally 2 weeks after our first date, Drew asked me to be his girlfriend to which I responded, "Hmmm, ill think about it" and left him for the night. I went back up to my apartment and knew I probably scared him so I called him immediately to apologize, but when he picked up the phone he said, "I knew it wouldn't take you long" and I knew it was only fair for me to say yes. D: Bridget likes to say she was playing hard to get, but I didn't care. After hanging out almost every night for two weeks, I asked her when she was going to accept that she was my girlfriend, to which she replied, "I'm not your girlfriend, but i'll think about it". Minutes later, she called me and admitted that she totally wanted to be my girlfriend because im so irresistible.

B: On March 30th, 2025, while visiting family in Texas, Drew asked me to take a walk with him around the Dallas Arboretum. I found this odd but did it anyway. because I love the Arboretum. Drew took me to my favorite spot by the water surronded by the hydrangeas and asked me to be his wife, to which I quickly responded "Yes! Of Course! About Time!" D: While visiting Bridget's family in Dallas I asked her to walk to the Arboretum with me, during our trip there with her family. I took her to a spot down by the lake and popped the question. The rest is history.
