Drive time: About 50–60 minutes – a scenic drive along the Columbia River Gorge via I-84 E to WA-14 E. • Rent a car at PDX – it’s the most convenient way to get to Stevenson/Wind Mountain Ranch, explore the Gorge, and reach your hotel. (Uber/Lyft/taxis are available but can be pricey ~$90+ one-way and less reliable for return trips in the rural area.) • The drive is beautiful – expect stunning views of the river, mountains, and waterfalls. Traffic is usually light outside rush hours.
