Question

How do I get to the Venue?

Answer

You can walk about 5 minutes from Hilton Garden Inn, the host hotel. If you are driving in, we have arranged for complimentary parking during the ceremony & reception. Uber & cabs are available in Worcester, as well.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Guests are invited into the venue to be seated for the ceremony at 5:00P on Friday, August 24. If you are in the wedding party, check back for information regarding hair/makeup (for the women), photos, etc. as we near the big day!

Where should I park?

Answer

We have complimentary parking arranged for guests at Mechanic's Hall the day of for the ceremony & reception. Parking for guests of the Hilton Garden Inn Worcester is $9.95/night & it includes unlimited access in & out. The garage is located in the Major Taylor parking garage across the street from the hotel.

What should I wear?

Answer

Guests are invited to wear black tie/formal attire. Floor length gowns or dresses for the women and suits or tuxedos with ties or bowties for the men are welcome. Wedding party, stay tuned! We are finalizing details for tuxedos & gowns.

What colors should I avoid wearing?

Answer

Dress in any color you wish, avoiding white, off-white, cream, champagne or any pale pinks, please.

Are children or babies welcome?

Answer

Although we love your little ones, the entire affair is 15+.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please only RSVP for those listed on your wedding invitation. In addition, we will be having an "old school" Head Table for the wedding party during the reception. Please let your spouse know ahead of time if you are in the wedding party and bringing him/her that they will be seated at a separate table during intros, dinner & speeches.

I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?

Answer

US TOO! We have a block of rooms reserved at the Hilton Garden Inn Worcester located at 35 Major Taylor Blvd. Please call 508-753-5780 to make your reservation before 8/2/18. The discounted rates begin at $134/night and rooms are available at this rate from the nights of 8/23, 8/24 & 8/25. Check in time is 4:00 PM & check out is 12 NOON. Use code SMERF & mention Abysalh/Lazo wedding when you call to book.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

The favor of a reply is requested by July 31, 2018. Responses preferred through this wedding website. Please let us know if you are having trouble RSVPing through the website. In addition, it requires an RSVP for your entire party. Please do let us know by 7/31 if your entire party is unable to make it & confirm the number of guests in your party attending.

Will food be served?

Answer

Passed & stationary hors d'oeuvres will be served during the cocktail hour. We are offering a seafood option, chicken option, as well as two vegetarian options. There will be a station/buffet style dinner to follow during the reception hours. Your choices will include a beef, a chicken & a pasta with rice, vegetables, bread, and more! Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions when RSVPing. We will do our best to accommodate.

What time does the reception end?

The reception ends at 11PM. We hope to continue the party with friends and family at our suite located at the Hilton Garden Inn Worcester.

Can I take pictures?

Answer

YES PLEASE! We will have photographers Robert Hare & Eric Snyder working their magic, but this is far from an "unplugged" wedding.

Is there a gift registry?

Answer

We are registered through Zola right here on this site. Because we live in San Diego and will need to travel back to California, if you are choosing to give us a gift for our wedding, we kindly ask that you do not gift large items to the wedding, as we will need to ship them back to our home. THANK YOU!

What if I want to donate my services to the cause instead of give a gift?

We would love to share your art or service on our big day! Please feel free to reach out with suggestions or ideas. The more the merrier!

Is it open bar?

Answer

We have a champagne toast and cocktail hour scheduled for our guests, and although we anticipate premium open bar for the ENTIRE affair, please note the below drink prices, as complimentary drinks are at our discretion as we near the end of the reception. NON-ALCOHOLIC: $2.00 BEER: $5.00 WINE: GLASS $7.00 BOTTLE $21.00 CHAMPAGNE: GLASS $7.00 BOTTLE $ 21.00 ONE LIQUOR MIXED DRINK: $8.00 TWO LIQUOR MIXED DRINK: $10.00
