We're Getting Married!

Their story starts in December of 2022. They were both on Hinge (Dating App) to find their special person, but they both did not have any luck until… they matched. Delaney has this online dating rule to Facetime the person before she goes on a date with them. Drew and Delaney ended up on the phone for 4 hours. During that conversation, they enjoyed it so much that they scheduled their first date to meet at the Calhouns in Oak Ridge, a halfway point for both of them. Drew said he knew that Delaney was the one when they had not only great conversation but also when she ordered a Michelob Ultra and a Burger. “She was the one for me. She didn’t sugarcoat anything.” Drew found himself slowly falling for Delaney as he realized the depth of her care and understanding. What drew him in wasn't just her charm or beauty, but the way she listened with intent and genuinely cared for him as a person, flaws and all. Delaney's empathy and compassion created a safe space for him to be vulnerable, forging a bond that grew stronger with each passing day. In Delaney, Drew found a confidant and a true partner who embraced him for who he was. For Delaney, she didn't realize that she was falling for Drew until she caught herself smiling at the little things he did. It wasn't grand gestures but the small, everyday acts of kindness that won her over - holding open every door, enforcing the sidewalk rule without fail, asking about her day with genuine interest, or simply remembering how to make her favorite cup of coffee (still a work in progress, but at least he tries). He wasn't just going through the motions, he did everything with the best intentions. It was as if he had a direct line to her heart, knowing exactly how to make her feel loved, cherished, and valued. Delaney continues to fall in love with him more and more every day. Drew asked Delaney to be official on February 4th, 2023, and asked her to be his wife on February 24, 2024.
