This love story all starts with two tall people, a mutual swipe right, and a few too many margaritas at Hola Arepa. We start this story back in 2019 when the couple each decided to sign up for 21st century dating, which is just code word for Hinge. While JP fell for Steph's infectious smile immediately, it took Steph a few reviews of JP's profile before she was convinced he was worthy of a night out on the town. The one and only time Steph has been early for an event was on their first date at Hola Arepa. The couple spent the evening discussing college memories and family stories. Although tabs were not kept, Steph passed JP's first test when she didn't hesitate to order a second margarita. Admittedly a few red flags were presented early on in their flirtation as Stephanie had never watched any of the movies that shaped JP's upbringing, and JP presented himself as a square Cities 97 listener. However, the cherry on top that night that defined the future of these two was when a little mishap happened between Steph's clumsiness, a waitress, and a full tray of drinks that did not end in a pretty sight. We cannot say it was smooth sailing from there. Steph failed to mention that she was still residing in Waconia, so JP pressed forward scheduling dates around the cities early on including: Minnehaha Falls, 5-8 club for Juicy Lucys, and greenies at Tony Jarros with the Bennie and Johnnie crew. We are now happy to report those dates were uneventful and she got the stamp of approval from JP's friends. JP's last remaining test for Stephanie was ensuring she was capable of enjoying the family Cabin near Two Harbors, Minnesota. With no cell service and a car ride through the woods just after midnight, JP put the thought of "how much do I trust this guy" in Steph's head the first time they went up. But to no avail she dove head first into games of cribbage, pontoon boat rides, Saunas, and 4 wheeler excursions throughout the superior national forest proving to JP that he had found his person. As the relationship flourished they so did their time on Lake Waconia, Lake Minnewashta and the cabin with friends and family. After almost 5 years of memories and adventuring together, JP convinced Stephanie to reside back in her hometown Waconia, where they now enjoy time with friends and family. They are continuously counting down the days until their next trip to warmer weather and trying to keep themselves as busy as they possibly can. We look forward to building a family and will continuously attempt to convince our friends to move away from the cities. Our love continues to grow over new adventures, decorating our home, margaritas, and card games.
