As fate would have it Dre and I met on an online dating site, the day he joined and the day I had planned to get off the site. I was doing my last scroll through and I scrolled past his profile. Soon after I received a message, "so you're just going to scroll by and not say anything?" My response was, "maybe you should have posted a picture where I can actually see your face." His only picture was of him in the ocean, way out in the distance. So, I asked him for a better picture which he promptly shared. I think I was immediately smitten, but I will never admit that. That turned into endless chats, most of which were filled with excessive laughter with some wholesome conversations on the side. Within a week we both decided we were done with the site and we both deactivated our profiles. Soon after we had our first date and we decided to meet half way from where we both lived. Half way happened to be in West Orange. We spent the afternoon at a bowling alley in West Orange, then later had dinner in Montclair. Within a few months we were traveling the world together. Our first trip was to Germany where Dre ran the Berlin Marathon. Perfect timing because we celebrated my birthday on this trip. I'm now his official marathon cheerleader since then, traveling the world to support him on his quest to "run the world." 04/20/2019 was the day Dre officially asked me to be his forever friend. We later moved to West Orange, not very far from where we had our first date. 11/07/23: Dre asked me to marry him on a sunset catamaran cruise in Saint Maarten. This is just the beginning of the journey that we will take together, hand in hand...one step at a time until the end of time.
