We're getting married!

We met through a mutual friend in the summer of 2015. At the time, Gabbi was dancing for the Atlanta Hawks. Our mutual friend brought Martin to a Hawks event where he saw Gabbi for the first time. After that, he told our friend to make sure Gabbi was invited to the Fourth of July trip to Myrtle Beach they had planned. He jokingly told her, "Don't get in my car if you don't have your friend Gabbi with you." Needless to say, our mutual friend made it happen and Gabbi rode up to Myrtle Beach with them. We were inseparable the whole trip, and actually stayed an extra day after everyone else left to spend more time together. ❤️ Over the course of the years following that trip, God worked on us separately and then brought us back together in May 2020, prepared to begin this lifelong journey together.

The proposal was done in a rented warehouse in Atlanta. Gabbi had a pretty good idea of what was about to go down that day despite all of Martin's attempts to throw her off. However, the real surprise came after she said "Yes!" As Martin drove Gabbi to their dinner reservation after the proposal, she was texting all of her friends and family about what had just happened. But when she walked into the hotel for dinner, every one she was texting was already there waiting for her. All of her and Martin's friends and family from all over the country were there with their cameras flashing and cheering loudly. "It was the most overwhelmingly joyful night of my life." -Gabbi
