We're getting married!

We met working retail at The North Face in the Braintree mall during the fall of 2013, I was a freshman at MassArt and Andrew had just graduated from American University. We were both hires for the holiday season and were hoping to be kept on the staff long term. We worked together for about a year when our manager made a friendly competition for a ticket to Warped Tour that was an outdoor activity bingo-type game. I had one activity left, which was rock climbing, and since I hadn't climbed in many years, one of Andrew's friends and a co-worker of ours offered to take me. When I suggested we go again sometime since it was so much fun, he invited Andrew along and we started climbing together regularly. A couple months later, Andrew visited me at my dorm, cooked me dinner, and asked me if he could tell other people I was his girlfriend. We've been together ever since and have lived together for almost three years! We can't wait to start the next chapter together and hope you will all be there to celebrate with us!

This proposal was in the works for about a year and I had no idea. I learned afterwards that Andrew even took my Maid of Honor, Regan, ring shopping and she was in on the whole thing. Andrew had suggested we plan a vacation for the summer of 2019 to Madeira, Portugal and I let him plan the whole vacation even when he asked me if there was anything specific I wanted to do there. I let him surprise me with all the activities we did and on the second day of our vacation, we went to the Madeira Botanical Garden. We were sitting on a bench overlooking one side of the island and Andrew got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes and the rest of our vacation was amazing!
