Wedding Party

Chelsea Skog

Maid of Honor

Chels and I first met in day care -- the infant center at B'Eagan With Us. I don't have any memories of ever not knowing her. We grew up together and went through all the awkward phases of choker necklaces, hoop earrings and layered skirts with sparkly belts. Sleepovers would include prank calls and walking to Subway before dance class. We played softball through 12th grade and met so many new friends who knew us as a "package deal." We went on a trip to Costa Rica in 11th grade and explored the everglades of Florida in 12th grade. Through good times and bad, Chelsea has never left my side. In college when we went to schools 5 hours apart, we still made the time to see each other when we could. To choose her as maid of honor was the easiest decision I could have made.

Nathaniel Kurtzweg

Best Man

I met Nathaniel in college, we had some cross over classes studying Economics together. We became friends my Junior year as we both spent many hours studying for the brutal Investments class tests we endured. It is because of Nathaniel that I have been blessed to make many more friends who I call family. I was blessed to be one of Nathaniel’s groomsmen at his wedding to Haylee in 2017, and I can’t think of anyone else I want standing up there by my side on Alacia and I’s special day, and the only person best able to be my Best Man. You can probably tell by our picture, but Nathaniel and I continue to bond over all things nerdy, usually Star Wars, Game of Thrones, LotR, etc. For you Game of Thrones fans, he is my Hand of the Groom.

Kaylee Bergh

Maid of Honor

Kaylee is my younger sister and for the last 21 years she has been my partner in crime on all family vacations, holidays and fun weekends at home when I was visiting from college. One thing that I have appreciated the most is how accepting she has been having Evan be a new part of the family. When she met him she knew he was different from any others she had met. They like to pick on each other in a fun-sibling type of way. It makes me so appreciative to have her as such a wonderful sibling to be so supportive of this upcoming marriage.

Jordan Randall

Groomsman

I met Jordan freshman year since he was across the hall, we became friends over our first semester and kept close ever since. Jordan has always been a dedicated man of focus and that carries over into his friendships. Whether it’s playing Xbox or enjoying some sushi, Jordan and I share many good memories from our time in college and since then as we have grown. He’s one of the few people I know who seems like he is great at everything (mostly because he is). I am honored to have him standing with me on this special day.

Diana Najera

Bridesmaid

I first knew Diana through some mutual friends when she was a Junior in High School and I was a freshman at Mankato State. She later ended up at Gustavus which was only about 10 minutes from my school -- so we got to visit each other a lot. It was fun to be able to meet her college friends and she got to know mine. After college graduation we both moved home to Eagan and did yoga together at Corepower each week. She was also a major contributor to me meeting Evan because she went to Gustavus with him. Me and Diana lived together in Edina in 2017, and her and Jackie invited Evan over for a game night, which is when I met him for the first time.

Collin Knoploh

Groomsman

I met Collin in college sophomore year, he lived down the hall from me. Thorough out the year we started to hang out over our common interests (video games, I’m sure you’re shocked ;) ). Collin is one of those friends who may not speak as much at first but always chimes in with a hilarious quip. He is one of the funniest guys I know and is never afraid to take risks, and never forgets his friends in doing so.

Alyssa Kuck

Bridesmaid

Alyssa and I were roommates in college for 3 years. We had several classes together freshman year, which caused us to get to know each other quickly during the big college transition. Sophomore year we decided to be roommates in the dorms and it ended up being a great fit! We were known as the "twins" because people tend to tell us we look alike.

Tyler Metzger

Bridesman

Tyler and I met in the dorms. We gained a consistent schedule of watching season 9 of One Tree Hill in our room when it came out, a new episode each week. On Tuesday nights you could find us out on the town because we both didn't have class on Wednesdays. He was my wedding date for multiple summers before we found our "One." Tyler is a great friend, and is never afraid to tell me the truth. I am very blessed to have him in my life, and I am honored to have you stand by me on my special day, just as I did for his in October 2018 when he married the love of his life, Erica.

Jackie Sumner

Groomswoman

If it wasn’t for this lovely lady, I don’t know if Alacia and I would be tying the knot. Jackie and I (Evan) met at, you guessed it, college. Jackie is one of my best friends for a reason, we have shared many fun and amazing memories together over the years. From our many times studying for our economics classes to random Target runs, I have been very blessed to be friends with her. It was about a year after college when Jackie invited me over to hang out with her and Diana (yes that bridesmaid Diana, also a good friend of mine) the night I met Alacia. It’s funny how these seemingly random encounters at the time can turn into so much more when we look back. Jackie was supportive of Alacia and I from day one and we’re so thankful for her in brining us together

Carl Neumann

Groomsman

Carl and I were roommates freshman year at Gustavus Adolphus College, but it didn’t start that way. He and I were at first paired with other students through the college’s efforts. Yet Carl and I became friends through our classes and since we lived on the same dorm hall floor, we came up with an idea. Our roommates became friends with each other, and Carl and I became friends so we proposed an idea, we do a room mate swap! It was a win win scenario, so Carl and I became roommates through choice that first year and friends ever since. Carl has provided me much wisdom over the years and helped me expand my interests, primarily in music. One of the most caring guys I know, he is fearless and never stops in his pursuits of his passions.

Brianna Luhman

Bridesmaid

Brianna and I met through mutual friends Sophomore year of college. We found a mutual love of going to the on campus Zumba class together and enjoyed showing off our horrible dance moves when any of the songs came on in public. To this day we quote the movie "Bridesmaids" together when we decide it is appropriate. She is my "go-to" gal for gossip and to make margaritas and Mexican food at girls nights!

James Wiersum

Groomsman

Where to begin, James is my oldest friend. We met when I was very young, we shared the same street and he lived across from my parent’s house. Our families became friends and we got to hang out over many holidays and fun times over the years. I have always valued James opinion, and he knows me very well in that when he met Alacia for the first time he told me immediately that he could tell she was the one for me. She was the only girlfriend I had that James approved of. One thing is for sure, the wedding party would not be complete without James in it.

Erica Metzger

Personal Attendant

I got extremely lucky that my best guy friend married such a wonderful woman. Erica and I quickly got close when her and Tyler (Bridesman) started dating in the summer of 2016. Together we have lots of couples "game nights" and laugh until we cry. Wedding planning was so much easier with Erica's help, between coming to multiple dress appointments with me, giving advice on where to find the best vendors, and letting me borrow some things she had at her wedding.

Elizabeth Drantch

Usher

My sister and I have shared many memories throughout the years, but above all she is a loving sibling and the best sister a brother could ask for! From our shared interests in music, TV, all the family vacations, to helping each other move furniture, I know I can always count on my sister to be there for me. She is so driven and probably the smartest person I know. The wedding party would not be complete without her.

Joey Bies

Usher

My guy Joey is one of the lucky friends I met through Nathaniel, he’s one of the funniest people I know and is always full of energy! I don’t know how he does it but he is always on the move and living life to the fullest! He always makes Alacia and I laugh so hard every time we see him and we are so blessed to have him as one of our closest friends and be a part of our wedding.

Konnor Tranoris

Officiant

Konnor and I met while we served on the Gustavus Campus Activities Board together. He is one of the most upstanding people I know, his dedication to his passions and morals are admirable. He is hilarious and witty and knows how to have a great time, while offering some great financial advice too ;). We’ve had some amazing times together and I’m so glad he will be with Alacia and I on our special day to marry us!
