We’re getting married!

At the time, the pair had recently met through one of their good friends who is in the wedding party - Katie Gloff. A few weeks later, Tyler took a camping road trip to a country music festival with 5 girls - a risky move! Long story short, while on the trip Savannah found a tall, crickety carnival ride that she couldn’t wait to try & quickly convinced Tyler to go on it with her - even though he is completely terrified of heights. At that moment, he knew that if she could convince him to do something like that, then he must really care about her. Between scared screams, while the ride sat at the very top, Tyler decided to make another bold move. From 150 feet up, Tyler asked Savannah to be his girlfriend... and the rest is history.

About a year later, Tyler and Savannah ventured to the city on a beautiful, sunny day with her brother and his girlfriend. Once they got there, Savannah convinced Tyler to face his fear of heights (again) as they got in an elevator that shot them up 103 stories to the top of the Willis Tower. she could see that he was visibly nervous as the tiny elevator, crammed with far too many people, started to climb. She thought his nerves and sweating may be from the moving displays of Chicago landmarks and buildings on the elevator walls showing just how high above the ground they were. However, for Tyler as they got higher, so did the stakes. When they reached the top, with the beautiful view of the city all around them, Tyler popped the question. They both could not have been more excited! The rest of the day was spent eating deep dish pizza and visiting some of Savannah’s favorite places in the city. It was a perfect day!
