Where is the wedding venue?
Answer
Our wedding venue is called The Rickhouse, located at 609 Foster St, Durham, NC 27701. Right in the middle of downtown Durham and walking distance to parks, bars, restaurants and more!

Are the ceremony and reception at different places?
Answer
Nope! The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all at the same place (The Rickhouse). How convenient!
Question
Where do you recommend staying if we are traveling?
Answer
We recommend staying at the hotel that we have added under the “Travel” section of this website since we have negotiated discounted rates for it and will provide transportation for the people staying there. If you prefer not to stay there, you can look into Airbnb/Vrbo or other hotels in the area. Please reach out to me or Ryan and we can let you know if it’s in a nice area!

How should we get from the airport to our hotel?
Answer
If you would like to rent a car during the stay, I have the link to the airport rental car companies in the “Travel” section of this website. If you’d prefer not to rent a car, you can either Uber/Lyft to your hotel or take an airport taxi.

What is the attire for the wedding?
Answer
Cocktail Attire: Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and dark jackets and slacks.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
The ceremony starts at 6 pm, so arrive between 5:30 and 5:45.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
There is parking, but it's limited and you will likely still have a short walk to get to the venue. You can find more information about the parking situation here: https://www.rickhousedurham.com/parking Street parking is free on the weekends, so if you find a spot feel free to park there. Additionally, this deck is a less than 5 minute walk: https://goo.gl/maps/FgpkdesFRViZwNeXA We will also have a shuttle for those staying in the hotels we have blocked off to bring people to and from the event. We will post more info here closer to the date.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

We will have a welcome party the night before the wedding (4/14) at Pour Taproom! See more details on the “Schedule” page of this website.

Are you registered? Where?
Answer
If you go to the “Registry” tab on this website, you can see and contribute to our honeymoon fund if you’d like. We are lucky to have a lot of time off after our wedding and before moving to a new city, so we would like to take a long honeymoon. The best gift would be a contribution to that fund so we can have an amazing trip!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?
Answer
We have blocked rooms at the Springhill Suites Durham City View and the Aloft Durham Downtown (more details in the “Travel” section of this website). If you’d prefer not to stay at one of those and find a different hotel, feel free to reach out to me or Ryan and we can let you know if it’s in a nice area.

Please RSVP by March 15th, 2023 by clicking the “RSVP” page on this website. Submit the questionnaire there and we will receive it through the same app that runs our website.
