We met at a happy hour at Bar Louie through our mutual friends Jim and Colleen Bunten. At the time, Drake was dating someone, and I was very "anti" relationship due to my recent bad luck with Bumble/Tinder. We had each other laughing the entire night, and when it was time to say goodbye, I told him to give me a call if he ever broke up with his girlfriend. I will never forget the shocked look on his face! The next day he messaged me on facebook, and somehow I knew that very day that I would end up with him. We stayed friends, and a few months later he was single. We have been together ever since.

The weekend before Valentines Day, some girlfriends and I had decided to go out for a "Galentines" dinner. I knew Drake had bought the ring, and I was getting extremely impatient... what was he waiting for! Drake said he was going out with some friends to Llewellyn's in Webster Groves. After dinner was over, the girls decided to go meet up with the boys. When we arrived, we walked into the back room, and Drake was there on one knee, in front of 150 people - our friends and family came from all over (even Seattle) to celebrate with us. My nieces and nephew held up a big sign that said "Will you Maret Me?". I immediately said yes, and scolded him for letting me wear a ridiculous white furry coat that night! We danced the night away, and had a blast with our loved ones. It was so special, and I am so happy that I got to share such an amazing moment with everyone I love. We are so incredibly excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you! See you in St. Louis!
