Question

What kind of shoes should I wear?

Answer

The welcome party will be held on the top lanai of the Papa Kona Restaurant & Bar which will have cocktail tables and limited seating. There is parking below the restaurant and it is a 10 minute walk from the King Kamehameha hotel. Comfy shoes for walking and mingling recommended! The wedding ceremony and reception will be held at the Kona Sea Salt Farm oceanfront grounds which is sandy and pebbly. Heels with points are not recommended (the bride will be wearing block heels for reference).

Question

Are the kiddos invited?

Answer

Absolutely! We just kindly ask you specify by name & age who will be in attendance when you RSVP.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

The wedding invitations will specify if you have a plus one.

Question

How do we get to the wedding venue?

Answer

There will be a shuttle running between the King Kamehameha hotel and the Kona Sea Salt Farm from 4-10 pm. The trip is ~15 minutes. For our drivers, there is ample parking at the Kona Sea Salt Farm. The party ends at 10 pm and the farm gates will be promptly locked at 11 pm.

Question

Can we take photos during the wedding?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony and kindly request our guests silence and put away their phones during the ceremony. (Don't worry! Our very talented photographer will capture all the love during this time!) After the ceremony, photos are highly encouraged! We will have a QR code available for all of our guests to upload their favorite pics from the whole weekend to share with everyone!

Question

What kind of food will be served?

Answer

We will have a small selection of food passed around during the cocktail hour and a Hawaiian-style buffet for dinner. The food is mainly local favorites with a few universal options, and vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options as well.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Heck yes! We will be offering a selection of beer, wine, and three signature cocktails. The bar will open immediately following the ceremony.

Question

Do we need to bring our IDs?

Answer

Anyone wishing to participate in the open bar must have their ID on them!

Question

Are there any restrictions at Kona Sea Salt Farm?

Answer

The venue prohibits the following: glitter, confetti, raw rice, open flames (i.e. candles), pets, and drugs. ** Please do not bring any of the above to our wedding! **

Question

Can we get a single king bed rather than two queens with our room reservation under the room block?

Answer

Unfortunately, our room block only accommodates two queen beds. However, you can choose to upgrade your room for a different arrangement or different view but will not be able to receive the room block rate.
