Drake & Jocabed
Our story
Drake and Jocabed first noticed each other from afar at church in the summer of '23. They were familiar faces in Bible study but never quite crossed paths, though the attraction and awareness were there. Fast forward three months: one night after a worship service, they both unexpectedly ended up at the same In-N-Out alone.
Jocabed recognized Drake and decided to say hello, not knowing that one small gesture would open the door to a lengthy conversation neither of them expected. What began as a simple stop for burgers quickly turned into hours of talking and connection. That unplanned moment became their first unofficial date.
From that night on, everything changed. On November 12, 2023, Drake asked Jocabed to be his girlfriend, and little over a year later, while strolling on the beach, he got down on one knee and asked Jocabed to be his wife. They are endlessly grateful for the way God brought their paths together, and for the story He continues to write.
