Drake and I grew up in the same town, we’ve known each other since high school. We spent some time together throughout the years when we were young, and then ended up going our separate ways. Drake moved to Wyoming, and I stayed in our little farm town. Seven years came and went. Drake was creating a life in Wyoming; he bought a house out there, he had a steady job, and he was really thriving. I was also working, saving up money, and keeping myself busy with all of my puppies. In March 2018, our town received the devastating news that Drake’s older brother Rodney had tragically passed away. It was unexpected and completely devastating. But somehow, through his death, Rodney brought Drake and I back together after almost a decade of being apart. Drake flew back home for his brother’s funeral, and I attended as well. When I saw Drake that day, he hugged me so tight, I felt like he put all of my broken pieces back together. From that day on, Drake and I have been completely inseparable. Within a month I found myself packing my bags and moving to Wyoming so Drake and I could start our new life together. Seven months later, Drake proposed to me in the backyard of the house I grew up in, surrounded by family and friends. In Drake, I found the best friend I never knew I needed and we are so excited to begin this new journey as husband and wife.
