Carson and Macey’s story began in September of 2021 at a country dance night at The Marc on the Square in San Marcos. At the time, Macey was a student at Texas State University and Carson was a student athlete playing baseball at Texas Lutheran University in nearby Seguin. When Carson asked Macey to dance, neither of them knew that one simple two-step would become the first step toward forever. They danced, talked, and laughed the night away, and from that moment on, something felt easy, natural, and right. What started on the dance floor quickly grew into a love rooted in support and genuine admiration for one another. Carson didn’t take long to realize what his heart already knew, and soon after, he asked Macey to be his girlfriend, marking the beginning of a love that would only grow stronger with time. In August 2022, life asked them to love each other from afar. Macey moved to Oklahoma City to begin law school, while Carson stayed in Seguin to finish out school and his baseball career. Though more than 450 miles separated them, their love never wavered. For two years, they crossed state lines by car and by plane, counting down days and cherishing every hello and goodbye. The distance taught them patience, trust, and gratitude—and showed them that even apart, they were always choosing each other. When those long years finally came to an end, Carson graduated and moved to Oklahoma City to attend the Oklahoma State University–Oklahoma City Fire Academy, reuniting the two just as Macey prepared for her last year of law school and to take the Bar Exam. Closing the distance felt like a promise fulfilled, and together they began a new chapter filled with everyday moments they had waited so long to share once again. After completing their schooling, Carson and Macey moved back to New Braunfels to start their careers and build a life together. On April 6th, 2026, Carson proposed to Macey right next to the beautiful Guadalupe River, and forever began when she said “yes!!!” — What began with a single dance has grown into a love defined by sacrifice, resilience, and an unshakable commitment—one that proves no distance, challenge, or season of life could ever keep them apart.
