We met at Penn State in 2014 during our Freshman Engineering seminar, but it wasn't until 2016 that we began dating. Though we never managed to settle the Sheetz vs. Wawa debate, we bonded over our mutual love for hiking, THON, and Penn State Football. 2018 brought graduation - Nick moved to Detroit and Colleen to Pittsburgh, but we continued dating and visited one another often! With COVID quarantine and working remotely, Nick was able to spend more time in Pittsburgh where he met the second love of his life - Briscoe (the Doyle family's dog). We relocated to Cincinnati in 2021 for Colleen to pursue a Master's degree, and then again to Dayton in 2023 for medical school. This past summer, we took a roadtrip to Hilton Head, SC to spend a week at the beach with the Doyles. Colleen grew up going to Hilton Head, so it holds a very special place in her heart. With the help of Colleen's sister, Maura, Nick proposed on the beach - the easiest YES of Colleen's life!! Over the past 9 years, we've been lucky enough to travel lots (Zion NP, Aruba, Mexico, Vermont, Las Vegas...), adopt a puppy (Maki - our very sweet, but not very smart dog), survive a flooded apartment (pipes were burst, but life lessons were learned!), and probably set a record for number of times across the PA turnpike. We've run a half marathon, hiked through miles of knee deep water, tasted more amazing restaurants than we can count, and so much more than we could ever fit in this space! We are beyond excited to continue our life together, and look forward to celebrating our next chapter with all of our favorite people!
