Derek & Sarah met at the Burnet Bluebonnet Festival in 2023, while Derek was working concert security as an officer with Burnet Police Department and Sarah was attending the Casey Donahew concert with her fellow ER nurses. Derek & Sarah love Mexican food, country music concerts, Longhorn football games, travel, and loving on their dog Dolly. Derek continues to work as a police officer and is a firearms instructor for the Burnet Police Department. Sarah is a flight nurse with CareFlite and works extra shifts in the local emergency department. They can't wait to continue their adventures together as Mr. & Mrs. Dowty!
