Things To Do

Here are some of our favorite activities and places to eat when we’re in Corvallis. If you have the free time, we hope you can enjoy them too!
Shop and Stroll Downtown Corvallis

Shop and Stroll Downtown Corvallis

137 Southwest 3rd Street, Corvallis, OR 97333

Some of our favorite places to window shop are Restyle, Inkwell, Guardian Games, Burlap and Lace, Second Glance consignment, and The Book Bin.

Take a Walk Through Oregon State University

Take a Walk Through Oregon State University

1500 Southwest Jefferson Way, Corvallis, OR 97331

Explore the beauty of our alma mater! Some of the prettiest buildings are weatherford hall, the memorial union, the women’s building, waldo hall, and furman hall. Grab a Dutch Bros beverage for your walk for the most authentic collegiate experience.

Marys Peak View Point

Marys Peak View Point

NF-3010, Philomath, OR 97370

Mary’s Peak Trail is a 5.7 mile out and back trail near Philomath, Oregon. It’s moderately challenging and has breathtaking panoramic views of the valley. Make sure you park at the bottom to enjoy the hike, or drive all the way up to the top to enjoy the beautiful views without the sweat. This is Hannah’s favorite hike near Corvallis, and is worth doing if have the extra time (and energy)!

Treebeerd's Taphouse

Treebeerd's Taphouse

201 Southwest 2nd Street, Corvallis, OR 97333

Patrick’s favorite tap house in Corvallis is a local gem. This is a great spot to try some PNW brews in a laid-back environment. Outside food is welcome and happy hour is on weekdays from 4-6.

Common Fields

Common Fields

545 Southwest 3rd Street, Corvallis, OR 97333

This is a great place for a group if the weather is nice. It’s a combination tap house and food cart pod that came to Corvallis towards the end of our time living there, and it became a fast favorite. Hannah’s favorite food truck is Pupuseria del valle. This spot has board games you can borrow, cornhole, an eclectic hot sauce collection, and good vibes.

Bodhi Cafe / Bakery

Bodhi Cafe / Bakery

500 Southwest 2nd Street, Corvallis, OR 97333

A top-tier cafe and breakfast spot nestled into downtown Corvallis. Don’t skip their morning buns, monster cookies, or espresso drinks!

TacoVino

TacoVino

151 Northwest Monroe Avenue, Corvallis, OR 97330

This is, by far, our favorite restaurant in Corvallis. We have celebrated as many birthdays, passed exams, and game days as possible at this restaurant. While we will be having our after party here and be able to share some margaritas together, if you have the time, you simply MUST dine here! Our favorites are the DIY guac, and the Peking duck and Korean beef short rib tacos.

Castor

Castor

458 Southwest Madison Avenue, Corvallis, OR 97333

For a more upscale dining experience, we believe Castor is the best place to go! Their food is seasonal, delicious, and southern-inspired. They have a smaller space, so we’d recommend getting a reservation if you plan on dining in.
