We met on New Year’s Eve at the Central Club. A local hang out. After both of us originally planned to stay home we ended up going out with some mutual friends and neither of us had any intentions of meeting someone new that night. The place was packed but we were introduced by friends and both of us felt an immediate interest in each other. As midnight approached and all the couples counted down for a midnight kiss, We both were solo. I leaned in and gave David a celebratory kiss at the start of 2015 sparking a friendship/relationship and us being inseparable ever since.

David & I planned a family vacation for our children to go to Jekyll Island. After weeks of watching the weather closely leading up to the trip we decided it would be best to move our vacation to a place the weather wasn’t threatening as bad. We decided to take the kids to Panama City Beach.....even if it does rain there, theres still lots of things to do and a place we all were more familiar with. So I changed the vacation spot. Upon arrival to the resort I quickly made an appointment for family pictures on the beach. David had been holding on to my engagement ring for a while and wanted to propose at a time no one would suspect. So he and our children decided the family picture shoot would be a great time. When we arrived for our photo session he asked me to walk with him down the beach and asked if we could take some selfies as a distraction fom the kids. While he distracted me our three older children wrote “Say Yes” in the sand then They all called me over to read the message. The waves washed some of it away so I didnt get it all at first. When I turned around David was on one knee with the ring out. It was a beautiful moment i’ll never forget and cherish always. Having our children there also meant the world to me. It was my favorite surprise ever.

Our wedding day is more than just two people who will become one. It is the union of two families becoming one as well. This day represents us becoming husband and wife and our children as brothers and sisters. We wanted a fun relaxed atmosphere and our favorite getaway is always the beach. We understand some people may not be able to make the trip so we hope to have a party when we return home from our honeymoon.
