Shelby and Vance both have ties to Eastern Kentucky University (he being an employee and she a former student). One would think they would have crossed paths, and while they may have without realizing it, they actually met online during Covid. He "super-liked" Shelby's profile, and when a goofy helmet-wearing picture of Vance appeared on her phone, she thought "this one is good," and the rest is history! Five years later, they're still choosing each other. Through internships, moves, and big life changes - Idaho, Georgia, even Italy - he has supported every adventure, and on February 16th, 2024, he asked her to marry him. Now that she has moved back home, they are excited to step into this new chapter together as husband and wife! They appreciate everyone attending to help celebrate this special day!
