We met in 2019 at Montreat College, where we were both college athletes. Micah was the “Welcome Week guy” (think over-enthusiastic camp counselor) during Dovie’s first week on campus. From the start, we bonded as camp kids, football die-hards and lovers of anything funny. And by the third week of the semester, we were officially official. The rest of college was a blur of Dovie's lacrosse games, Micah's track meets, way too many late-night Cook Out runs, and Kacey Musgraves on repeat. Our biggest test was the 2020 CFB National Championship, Alabama vs. Ohio State. But we made it through (and Micah took the loss like a champ). After graduating together, we packed up and moved to Georgia to begin the next chapter of our lives and careers. Not long after the move, we got our dog, Lando. At that point, Dovie knew Micah was the one, because if he could speak fluent dog baby-talk just like her, he was clearly marriage material. From Montreat to marriage, we’ve been growing, laughing, and taste-testing our way through life together. Now, we can’t wait to celebrate our next chapter with you!
