We first met in January 2023 at a friend’s party, but it wasn’t until that summer that we really started hanging out more—mostly through volleyball games and group hangs with friends. Morgan was quickly drawn to Micah because of his character—he always showed up for his friends, was the first to arrive and the last to leave, and he loved so deeply. Plus, his love for the Lord stood out in everything he did. In the summer of 2024, we went on a trip with friends to Crossville, and it changed everything for us. We left for the weekend as just friends and came home having shared our feelings for each other. From there, the rest was history. Dating and engagement was such a sweet and fun season. We took trips to the beach, danced our way through a lot of our friends’ weddings, tried new restaurants, and discovered that Micah is both an amazing cook and a surprisingly good bartender. He surprised Morgan with flowers often, which never got old. We went to NSC games, a couple rodeos, saw Johnnyswim in Chattanooga, and of course, had lots of coffee dates along the way. The proposal was one of the sweetest, most thoughtful days. On Sunday, March 2nd, we had a full day date—brunch, coffee, a hike, and a brewery. Right before dinner, Micah suggested stopping by Emerald Union where he bartends sometimes. Morgan didn’t think anything of it, but when we pulled up, the windows were covered and she started to realize something was happening. Inside, our favorite song was playing, there was a beautiful floral arch, rose petals and candles lined the floor, and a table with cake, champagne, and snacks was waiting. We both instantly started crying. Some of our closest friends had decorated everything and were there to capture the entire engagement session that night. We ended the day at Texas Roadhouse (which was where we had our first date). What we love most about our relationship is how safe, fun, and steady it feels. We’ve built our relationship on faith, kindness, laughter, and a desire to keep growing together—and we can’t wait for all the adventures still to come.
