Question

Our elopement story

Answer

At the time we were planning our elopement there was a lot going on in our lives. The biggest thing was Jared was working at an apprenticeship at Universal during the nighttime and had was attending school during the daytime to get his degree for it. This timeframe had an expiration date on it of about 2 more years, we didn't want to wait that long. The closer it got to the end of the apprenticeship the more stressful it would be. So we pulled the trigger last year because the leap-year date of February was too good to pass up. We rented an Air BnB in the mountains of North Carolina and filled it with our closest friends until all the rooms were filled. A little under a dozen people. We got married at the airbnb's fire pit, ate some spaghetti, played some board games, and listened to our music. While we were up there we went on a few hikes and enjoyed the mountains and each other's company. After we spent those few months planning the elopement we wanted a break from the stress of planning that before we announced to everyone. So we took some pictures in Florida for the announcement and let you all know in May of 2024. We recognize we were a bit selfish to elope without giving everyone a chance to celebrate with us, so we're doing that now! Jared has completed his apprenticeship, we just finished a big move and the priorities have aligned to plan the party, we hope to see you soon!
