Renee and Adam’s story together starts where so many modern romances do, on a dating app. They met on Hinge, and have been enthusiastically recommending it to friends ever since. Their first date was at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Adam figured that if Renee could tolerate his dorkiness there, then she was someone worth keeping around. Fortunately, they were both teachers, giving them a fairly open summer to get to know each other. Adam and Renee had picnics, walked across the Brooklyn Bridge, and went mini-golfing (where they both got overly competitive). Unfortunately, Adam left teaching the next year... Renee still has not forgiven him for depriving them of summers off together. After moving in together in November, 2019, they had a few months to get used to each other before receiving the crash course in extreme cohabitation known as “quarantine.” Thankfully, rather than becoming sick of each other, they realized just how great of a team they are and how much they value each other’s company. Renee and Adam found ways to entertain themselves, whether it was through a Google Earth vacation of Southern Spain with a home-made meal based on the region, a wine and drawing night with YouTube tutorials, or completing several puzzles (Renee being far better at the latter). These experiences made them all the more certain that they were ready to spend the rest of their lives together, just hopefully not as literally together as 2020 was. Adam and Renee are so excited for their wedding and are already overwhelmed by the love and generosity from the people in their lives. They cannot wait to celebrate with you! Love, Renee and Adam
