We’ve known each other since childhood, growing up in families that have been close for years and attending the same Kingdom Hall. Douglas likes to say he used to babysit me—though I don’t remember it, since he’s only a few years older! Over time, life took us in different directions, and we lost touch for a while—but never completely. Years later, we found our way back to each other, staying connected through messages, calls, and life updates. One thing that always stood out was how naturally our spiritual goals aligned. We both love Jehovah and share the desire to serve Him wholeheartedly. During a family trip, we saw each other again, and it felt as though no time had passed. When the idea of becoming more than friends came up, it was an easy and heartfelt yes. After some time growing closer, we were able to spend meaningful time together, and it was truly special. We enjoyed simple moments—going out, laughing, and making memories—while also cherishing time with family and friends. It was joyful, genuine, and full of love. The proposal was intimate and deeply sentimental, a moment we will always hold close to our hearts. We are so excited to begin this next chapter together and can’t wait for all that’s ahead.
